Duration 1-2 hrs based on topic; Student strength 2-5 per class; Flexible timings (anytime between 9am to 8pm) as per convenience of volunteers.
Vanvasi students belonging to economically weak families & living in hostels run by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram (VKA) in West Bengal.
Preferred but not mandatory. New volunteers can also train under an existing volunteer by assisting them in e-classes.
All subjects (Bengali Medium) of Classes 7-11, WB Board.
2 classes/ week for 3 months
Bengali; Volunteers teaching subjects other than English should be able to read & write in Bengali.
Will be provided in PDF.
Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with students online. Read/Write in Bengali language
The ability to motivate the students realise the value of education and study well to achieve their dreams
A strong desire to do whatever it takes to improve and develop the tribal community.
Will power to overcome challenges like weak network issues and teach based on network
Developing their self-confidence and overall personality.
Ability to work in teams with other volunteers teaching in the same hostel.
Patience and dedication to tackle students having very weak basics vs their class standard. Tackle problem of lack of interest in particular subjects by explaining the concepts in lucid manner.
